WHAT TO EXPECT

Our 5-year apprenticeship gives you knowledge, experience, and the qualification you need to start a career as a Chartered Town Planner. You'll get hands-on experience at the UK's leading Utility and Infrastructure firm, and training will be provided by the University of the West of England, Bristol.

 

To work towards a professional qualification (Msc Urban Planning & RTIP)  through a combination of on-the-job training and a formal university programme.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English and maths or equivalent. Entry requirements for the University are as follows:​

  • English and maths GCSE (grades A*- C or 9 - 4) or equivalent

 

As well as one of the following:

  • 3 A-levels - grades C or above 

  • A previous Level 3 Apprenticeship in a construction or property related discipline - experience will be considered

  • BTEC DMM or higher

  • Mature applicants with experience will be considered on a case by case basis

HOW TO APPLY

Alongside working for Dalcour Maclaren, you will obtain an MSc in Urban Planning (RTPI accredited) part time over five academic years, with teaching delivered in day release study at University of the West of England. As an apprentice, you will be fully enrolled as a student and work towards your degree, with the university fees being covered by Dalcour Maclaren.
