What to expect

As a Land Referencer in our busy Oxfordshire office, you’ll be working within our Land Referencing Team who are working towards completing and submitting DCO (Development Consent Order) and CPO (Compulsory Purchase Order) projects.

You will work closely with Project Managers and GIS Specialists to collect, interpret and review land ownership data to be presented to our clients in a variety of formats. You will ensure the maintenance of data held within our bespoke internal land referencing database and visit sites; liaising with project stakeholders to record land ownership data and be responsible for delivering tasks on time and within budget.

You will receive full training in our client's specific areas of expertise and ongoing mentoring whilst assisting and developing junior members of the team.

What you will need

  • A degree in an area broadly related to land (e.g. Geography, Geospatial Science, Estate or Property Management, Planning)

  • Knowledge of Land Referencing and Statutory Process for various schemes (DCO, Hybrid Bill, CPO, TWAO)

  • An Understanding of UK Land Registration.

  • Experience of managing tasks and workloads associated with CPO’s and DCO’s

  • Ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Great IT skills with advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and Word packages.

  • An analytical way of thinking, and the ability to take initiative to drive tasks forward.

  • Ability to manage a large amount of both quantitative and qualitative data with excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent organisational skills, be results-driven and a keen problem solver.

  • You will be able to organise workloads to meet tight project deadlines.

  • You will have great verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

  • Experience in using GIS (desirable)

  • Experience in collecting and analysing data (desirable)

  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site and project locations
